Foundational inequity conceals their greed

Martyrs for a cause affecting nothing for ourselves

Each step taken leads us farther from home

Buying into self-destruction as we die to sell

Out of sight, we are out of our minds

By design, we are pearls before swine

We're swallowed by the water searching for dry land

And when we're coming up for air, they shout, “Again! Again!”

We've pulled the shortest straw against them, just as planned

The aces always up their sleeves; the line drawn in the sand

The road less traveled is privately owned

Post no trespassing to tolerate the human race

Through the eye of the needle we are thrown

Corpses piling high enough to ease our fall from grace

I can read the signs
