The Eye of Odin Lyrics

It seems for many years

I've traveled this very world

even though i remain immortal

my mind has become tired

I wish to remain at home

but there's still a part of me

that keeps wanting to see

every aspect of the world

I set out for one last journey

through mountains and ice cold winds

overcoming the snow storms

Finding the one they call

the ancient well of Mimir

I was unaware of the price

that I was needed to pay

for it was a very costly price

through stone paths and rain

I finally come to the place

guarded by the mighty giant

I offer to him my right eye

looking into the waters

I kneel down before them

cupping my hands together

and drink from the well of wisdom

I obtain all the wisdom one can have

But see nothing but sorrow and grief

pain and suffering, war and famine

even though I've obtained the power

I feel too weak to help

too apathetic to care

so now until my time is over

I shall only watch from above
