snow blowing down from the mountains

being struck by the ice cold winds

the spirit of Skadi is all around

As I traverse this terrain

the goddess of the mountains

displaying her power once again

sending out her winter wolf

to bring terror upon the land

and now the time has come

for the warrior within me

to hold back the winter goddess

to fight through the cold winds

no matter how tough the struggle

I need to carry on

for there are very few

who have the strength to fight

valiantly into battle I go

with the sun behind me

my only ally in this fight

with it's scorching beams of light

the winter's wolves stand no chance

fending off the power of Skadi

I will strive to only be

victorious

The ice cold winds still linger on

however I can now feel

that Skadi's strength has now

become weakened once again

it's only a matter of time

before her power dissolves

only to be recharged

until the following year
