A veil for my soul

My heart beats cold and still

As it sinks further into the abyss

Darkness my mistress

Cloak me from the light

hide me from the sun

bring forth an eternal night

through these veins of sorrow

flows an endless thirst for more

I am bound by bloodlust

I yearn for a taste of life

As starved dreams begin to spill

Eyes that once held love

Now hidden by death’s pale embrace

Blackened skies now mourn

Another day’s demise
