The circle of warmth and light
Emitting an orange glow across the sky
Clouds flying high above the land
Slowly, the glow fading into darkness
Sunlight fallen, light submerged in shadow
Tenebrosity overtakes the land
Yet shimmering stars in the night sky
Moonlight bringing forth a dim glow
An eerie whistle in the wind's song
I march through the moonlit path
The reek of violence still present
Stench of blood on my armor
In exhaustion from battle
Weakness returning to me
I fall to my knees under a tall tree
Passing into a moment's slumber
My eyes going dark, falling into rest
Transitioning into a dream
Nothing but darkness I see
A haunting desire to flee
Suddenly, awakened abruptly
By the befallen spirits of battle
Translucent, eyes dark as night
Circling around me in rage
Cursed both in life and in death
Wandering in the confines of this forest
Suffering greatly as they are restless
They unsheathe their rusting blades
I stand on my own boots
As they enclose around me
I draw my sword, slicing swiftly
Yet they remain unharmed
In the blink of an eye, I am pierced
By what felt like a hundred blades
My deep wounds bleed leaves and thorns
Fog arising from above and below
My vision fading into a blur
The shadows growing darker and darker
Falling to my knees, the tip of my sword
Stabbed into the dirt ground
My hands resting on the pommel
The spirits of battle vanishing into the forest
A million leaves and thorns gushing out of my wounds
On the brink of inevitable death
Roots from a hundred trees
Rise up from below
Wrapping around my body
Infused with a warm light of healing
Mending my cursed wounds
Each cursed wound sealed with the earth
Once again, the goddess of nature
Has saved me from death
For it was still not my time yet
I still had to carry the duty of protecting her sacred land
Standing tall yet again, I still sense the wandering spirits
Gripping my sword, mythical power restored
The emitting glow returning once again
One by one, I banish each spirit from the forest
Leading them to the gift of eternal rest
Once again, I have guarded her sacred ground
