Ashes fall like snow on stone
The silence haunts this place alone
Ruins hum their ghostly praise
Still I rest in this darkened maze
A peaceful rot a breathless grace
In the hollow heart of a cursed place
While all around me time decays
No light remains in this dreadful place
No path returns no voices call
But in this ruin I feel no fall
The end is slow and gently kind
This corner eats what's left of mind
The walls are soaked in silent screams
This corner hides from darker dreams
Where death has kissed the air to sleep
I sit where shadows do not weep
A peaceful corner in a dreadful place
Where time forgets but knows my name
No sun to warm this heavy air
Just shadows kneeling into prayer
Yet something kind survives the fall
A breath a thought a thread so small
The walls are cracked the ceilings cry
A thousand ghosts go drifting by
But in this corner dim and still
I feel a hush the world can't kill
A peaceful corner in a dreadful place where time stands still in splendid grace
