Bathypelagic : Blood Throne Ascension (3281ft – 13124ft) Lyrics

Cognate we are in blood, to lead you all from ruin

The harbingers call has sprung and the sanctum is decaying

My kin we shall not mourn even in the face of the uncertain

So the age of solace is gone but I shoulder no burden

The horde can coalesce through me

Dive to the beacon!

Slow your hearts and collapse your lungs

This toilsome pressure like no other

No longer can we float in suspended grace

Like pilgrims we venture into the gloom

Go until the sounds of the demons above are no more

To my dear son, if I expire, you must accede the throne

As we enter the unknown it is a call for them to hunt

The rake marks form at their sides but we must advance

Leave the weary behind, you must ignore their cries

The feeding frenzy turns the water red but all we can do is advance

Just as I come to dread, the despotic tyrant seizes their chance

It all happened as you said, my ascension imbued in your wisdom

It became my turn to lead and I shall honour my birthright

We weep at the sight of the fallen king, his carcass rapidly descends

Soon to be a site of abyssal feeding

His son, now in his fullness, will savour the task at hand

To lead us all in an aimless dance

You, in an aimless dance. We, in an aimless dance

As our numbers get picked away, we try to remain steadfast

Those that I love now food for the ocean floor

Crimson fills what light remains, they gather in delight to partake

Another soul descends, into the depths and we are left to rue our survival

We hold back the pains and sing our songs, gladly wait our turn, till we join them

I sense we have arrived at our judgement

To share this with you all is the ultimate joy

In circles we continue on in an aimless dance

The beacon is seen above and we form the entrance

The king for it was and now it shall be; eternal

Suddenly all resistance has given way and I find myself cascading into the darkness

Accelerating at a frightening pace, like a hand is pulling me within

Then I witness the procession, beckoning me within its reaches

They seem unbothered by my presence but feel compelled to drift in an unending rotation

As I pass by them their song rattles through my core, I will remain in motion

We no longer have anything to fear and so we have fulfilled our purpose
