Amongst the ruins in this deep residing cave Steps forth a being, who is freed from his chains He looks up skyward at the early morning sky The blackened canvas greets his blinded eyes He feels a power, long-gone now returned And with a deep breath, feels desire burn The hopeless aeons have scattered like a dream The night winds blowing, calling from the east The titan rising, but his bones are still weak He has no strength, and cannot wander far He lurks in shadow and hides from the stars There lies a presence, that fills him with fear He senses daylight is growing ever near He bides his time, ’til tomorrow’s duskfall When the sun has gone Watching for the presence of the morning star Falling, when it is but the only one Watching for the glow of the morning light Hiding when the dawn breaks the night Watching from the cracks in the dark below Scanning all the stars in the sky Watching for the glow of the solar fires Hiding, in the safety of the dark The bright son of dawn Will herald the new day The other dim stars Will fade with the coming of the light The golden braids of the dawn light Will give all away These deeds of the night Must not be known The morning stars lowers To the ends of the sky He precedes his mother And ends the dark night He shines but the brightest His light burns so far A long night now over Rest morning star The fires of sunlight Will drain what is left Of the titan’s life-force And render his end “Oh wanderer you’ve helped me What I tell you is truth My past deeds I have paid for In silence and agony Go look for yourself At the sky turning soon The embers of daylight, they burn There are those who would seek to Have me chained for aeons more I pose no real danger I am weak, old and frail Don’t give into their deceitful words What they promise is not true They will trick thee, may your tongue be kept still” The morning stars lowers To the ends of the sky He precedes his mother And ends the dark night He shines but the brightest His light burns so far A long night now over Rest morning star The fires of sunlight Will drain what is left Of the titan’s life-force And render his doomed end The bright son of dawn Will herald the new day The other dim stars Will fade with the coming of the light The golden braids of the dawn light Will give all away These deeds of the night Must not be known Dawn-bringer
