Flashes from the past

Pictures of another reality

Shadows of a better time

Paired with future

That no longer is

Saturated images

Predating this collapse

Like an everlasting echo

When I did not have to fear

That the sun

Ship adrift at sea

Beacons lights out

And no one at the helm

I wonder if after this

The world can still exist

Unsurmountable haze, delirious

Stranded in the fog

Somewhere amidst these rocks and foam I see you

As beautiful as ever

Clarity comes and goes

Nothing new

Collect mind fragments from times before

Something to cling to

Something warm

And then comes the dark

Push everything away
