In the night, a shadow creeps, Through her mind, it softly seeps. Eyes unseen, but always near, Feeds upon her growing fear. Corners dark where silence reigns, Cold and still, the Watcher gains. Every glance, it lingers there, Heavy breath fills every air. Heartbeats quick, the walls close in, Choking on the fear within. She can't scream, and she can't fight, Trapped beneath its endless night. Every step, the Watcher's near, Every whisper fuels her fear. No escape from its dark stare, She can feel it everywhere. Anxious thoughts, a cruel refrain, Tangled deep inside her brain. Breath is short, the room's too small, In her mind, she starts to fall. In the dark, its voice she hears, Speaking words that stoke her fears. "You’re not safe," it whispers low, "You’re mine now, and you can't go." Eyes wide open, curled in place, Silent Watcher has no face. In the corner, it will stay, Never leaving, night or day.
