Did He not say that all authority

On earth and above has been given to Him?

God sets up kings

He tears them down

He directs their hearts like rivers and streams

Why do you fret?

He won't neglect nor forget

His hand stays each threat

For the LORD says to my Lord

"Sit at my right hand until I have made your enemies your footstool."

Or does the fall of Western culture mean that the end has come to us

And that the beast draws near

God's will does not depend on America or Europe's plight

Arrogant and jingoist is the one who sees our culture as the center

Of God's work as if His hand does not exist in other lands today

Isn't He still at work saving souls?

Does He not command us to make disciples of all nations

As He is Lord of all?

When the red sun rises, does He not have all authority?

Is He still Lord?

Don't throw up your hands; the field is ripe

We are merely laborers

While we live, we must not tarry

For He desires a nation for Himself

From every people, tribe, tongue, and nation

Or does the news on TV, political and moral catastrophe

Steal away your confidence in Jesus' reign?
