The tundra breathes in
Twisting the terrain for pernicious gain
Souring the soils for seasons to come
As it exhales…
imperiled by madness carried on the winds
Like the harshness of snow mounting at our door
Some cryptic otherness heeds the dole of death and destruction
Perverse is this expanse
And it was that the settlers aimed to harness the black river
But the land itself subdued the people…
subornation of many to ruinous fate
Starvation
Melancholy
Murder
And Suicide
