Young, White and Well-Behaved Lyrics

Once there was a boy named Peter,

Who went shopping with his grandma.

In the Store he snuck some candy.

He ate it without paying.

When they got home grandma saw chocolate

On his face; made him wash it and heard

as he confessed; I ate it, I didn't pay,

I was a bad boy, I wasn't

Young White and Well beheaved.

Grandma said; Your very naughty

Go tell Mrs. Green that you're sorry

Then pay her for the candy.

So he went back to the store;

Mrs. Green I ate some candy from your

store without paying, I'm sorry it

wont happen again.

I ate it, I didn't pay,

I was a bad boy, I wasn't

Young White and Well Behaved.

Mrs. Green only smiled, said;

God and I both forgive you

For being so very honest

Here's a nice shiny apple

Peter ran home and said; Oh by golly

grandma a shiny apple for being such a

honest boy. I'm so glad I went back,

I certainly am,

It pays to be Young White and Well Behaved.
