Cold and black is the night

No one there to hear us

So alone here below

Stars uncountable

Our hopes unfulfilled

Ever lone and forlorn

Dreams of equals, stillborn

Cosmic silence - barren is the throne

Aching absence - cursed and forever alone

Long have we yearned

for kindred minds elsewhere

Nought to find but despair

Ascending to the stars

Down to earth we’ve cast god

Masters of our fate
