Stars long cold, dead remnants

Such grandeur in emptiness

Such splendour in darkness

Photons die and light fades

Corpses of worlds decay

Black holes evaporate

Energy dissipates

Expanding without end

Majestic nothingness

Entirely meaningless

Cold spacetime and heat death

Ancient galaxies dying, vanishing

Light gone, perfect night

All gone, all that’s left is time

Time and space

And emptiness

And hopelessness

And nothingness
