In the dark we can be who we are
but once dawn strikes we are reborn
In our womb of cacophonous safety
reality ripped and shred and torn
bleed them dry take no prisoners
leave them writhing on the floor
begging for their life for what it's worth
no longer human anymore
kneel before thy majesty
lest you'll be left beaten and sore
we are the children of the night
you are the keepers of the day
this is our only afterlife
waking up to the final ray
you can't go out unless its safe
a stake and cross and then you die
heaven cast and cursed to walk alone
souls ever entrapped in stone
take me through the door of pageantry
I can see the sky is grey
