From frozen chasms to white fields

From foreign tundra to familiar stars

My memories are an event horizon

So much is lost, yet still they are there

A thousand bodies mine, a thousand eyes to see

The lives running down the length of my spine

So quickly I am reduced to a single human mind

In the end it’s a single step, and then the next

A fractured mind spread across

The surface of our worlds

Embedded in my hull

Burrowed in my core

An empire draped across;

A kingdom lain atop the stars

Justice and propriety

In benefit of the supreme good

It had always been so easy to just go along

So easy not to see what’s been happening

The longer I was blind, the harder it was to see

And now my role as Justice, poetically reprised

You can kill me

You can erase my identity

And shape me to be

What you deem right

But hear my curse

A fallen culture’s words

What you destroy

Will destroy you

A fractured mind spread across

The surface of our worlds
