Clutching at the wrist of hope
Refusing detritus, grief and carnage
A trail of contrition and attrition
Mute the swan song
Flooded and freed from darkness
Hateful grasp relinquished
Gleaming now with radiance and pride
Stronger having endured the other side
Persevered through suffering, cleansed the soul poisoned with mildew
Came to discover the ultimate beauty, all which was honest and true
And now I see what’s in front of me
Since purging fear and misery
Trialed by the dark
Though I forge and make my mark
And arise victorious
And on the other side
A paradise
