From the predator

Stalk! Kill! Eat!

To stay alive

Broad wings swooping from the sky

Talons grip your head

And rip it from its neck and torso

Sea is filled with hungry teeth

The land with beasts that slither, walk, or run

Looking for a feast

Nature's Law,, tooth and claw

The strong rule the weak

Sleep in your mother's womb

Before you're cast into this cruel dimension

What could you have possible done

To incur this penal term

Pain! Tears! Fear!

That's so well-founded

Snow! Fire! Stay!

One step ahead of death

Water's rising with the flood

It knocks you off your feet

And sweeps you out into the ocean

Fire's raging in the woods

Your house is set ablaze

You watch your loved ones burn alive

Nature is a brutal gardener

With malice and cruelty she plucks

Hide from hot, tropical winds

That whip and lash your skin with delight and purpose

Flood will find you where you hide

And make you slowly die as you spit and sputter

Run into a spider web

So strong it flings you back in the dead of night

Right next to a bubbling creek

Where gators gnash their teeth at your floundering

Run to safety

Where your fellow earthlings await you

To rip you in two and consume your flesh

A tragic ending to the love, time, energy

And devotion

That your parents put into raising you

All creatures are sentenced to b e members of the food chain

And cruelty is encoded in this earthly design
