Shimmering shards of ice pierce the wind,

Falling down into their chilling end

A liquid graze across the land

Mirrored in my eyes when you said "never again."

Crystals form beneath my nails,

To separate the skin that fails to contain,

The voice that used to speak your name,

Has fallen cold, this winter burns,

All memories washed away,

A frozen reservoir left in their wake,

Beneath the depths to where all conscience lies.

And soon to join as severed as the ties…

Frost consumes this beating heart,

Perfection lies within the art of pain,

A lacerated form contained,

There's nothing in my way,

The blade slips into your chest

As softly as the fallen flake,

A word from your dying breath,

Spoken too late…

Steam is rising from the blood pouring out of you,

It flows into a single stream,

The hate subsides with the simplicity of it all,

All reconciled.
