A State of Endless Passage Lyrics

I'm locked in a state of endless passage.

I can feel the gaze of terrible beings.

Demandingly they watch me, these horrid, gross creatures,

Demandingly they stare into my crazed, bloodshot eyes.

I imagined this star-scape as much more inviting

before witnessing the lengths of the true stellar cruelty.

I feel a sharp ache, it seeps through my back and spine, into my heart.

My frail body trembles, my fragile mind is irreversibly damaged.

I open my eyes to be confronted with a pool of blood below me, and a trail of ones alike behind me.

Unbelievingly, I put my hand onto the blood and realise

that this dark crimson river is of infinite depth.

In fear, I swiftly pull my hand out.

My heart races... from the unbearable pain, as if it was being stabbed thousands of times, again and again.

It's a strain to consciously move,

an arduous exercise of passage in this labyrinthine space.

I MUST PUT MYSELF TO AN END

I'm now no more than a mere ember

of what once was a fire, burning with passion, force and emotion.

It seems I'm doomed to travel for eternity, such a terrible fate...

Then, a rock falls into my hand.

I feel nothing else than the need to end this torment.

I use the very last bit of strength that I'm left with to smash it into my temple,

a multitude of times.

I fall unto the ground, it's constructed of matter I do not wish to recognise.

My head is malformed and covered in blood.

As everything falls apart, a sudden petrifying sense enters my soul.

The body may be dead, but I am in tact.

What hope is there left for me now?
