Journey of the Blind Lyrics

Another chapter in life comes to a close

With no regards for sanity

Something no one knows

Tomorrow’s an illusion, reality the same

What once were only yesterdays are memories

No one to blame

Frigid thoughts are my disguise for peace of mind

The mirror always tells the truth, no matter how unkind

Promises are never kept, yet never seem to learn

Embarking on a mystery, the tables have turned

Will tomorrow bring back yesterday on an icy path of fate

Will I fall from composure when I realize it’s too late?

Or maybe life’s cold tragedies are the only ones I’ll find

Either way I stand to lose myself on the journey of the blind

The scars remain long after time has healed the wounds

The winds of change are blowing cold, singing different tunes

The sands of the glass are flowing beneath the solid shell

What once the secret shadow held, now casts a vicious spell

Here I stand, chained to the perils of my own existence

Entombed forever within this crypt of reflection, immune to time and space

A thousand moons I have witnessed

And surely this is enough for the span of one man’s life

My only release comes from the dark hand that beckons me

Through the dimly lit corridors of unrighteousness

From perfect grief there need not be wisdom or even memory

What was and is shall occur once more…

So mote it be.

Will tomorrow bring back yesterday on an icy path of fate

Will I fall from composure when I realize it’s too late?

Or maybe life’s cold tragedies are the only ones I’ll find

Either way I stand to lose myself on the journey of the blind
