Our eyes linked for a single instant
in the unending relentlessness of eternity
Here only two of us existed
returning to the graveyard where it all began
Coiling together
bathing in flames
we left the mortal world
I looked upon her and we both rememberd
she looked upon me and we both connected
After an eternity, afer an instant, it was over
The gates of heaven were tore down around us
Eve descended upon me
a vicious twisted cry burst from her bloody lips
as we crashed into one another
Falling from the heavens gates
towards the darkness
it was not hell
nor fury
nor pain that engulfed us
We held each other star-crossed
as the fires of hell rose to meet us
Our bodies flooded emotion
and poured love
The only scars left were
those of turmoil and suffering
The suffering of those
who empathy spurred into action
Protecting what we held close
and tormenting our clasped souls
A cascade of white light spilled forth
from the broken gates and illuminated all before it...
A voice carried across the ages and plains of existence
Time passed and yet had no place here
I awaken and come into my being
together we stood before our creator
"What do you claim to have done here?
What reasoning has there been for humanity's toil
forsaken of my path. All has lead you to naught but strife. Speak"
Eve spoke for the first time,
our surroundings were none,
our bodies immaterial
from this platform humanity made its case.
Why did you cast me and the others
from heaven upon the earth?
To make us see?
Eve spoke in colours, in touches.
A beautiful wave-like symphony
"Yes, my child. To see"
"Well, I have seen... And I have felt!
The intangible experience
I have touched humanity and it has touched me"
Eve trailed off into silence and thought...
Listening patiently
the answers were coming
the questions that plagued my entire life
"You begin to see, my child. It's everywhere".
One must fall in order to get up
one must feel low in order to appreciate the high
one must destroy in order to create
You come closer... Humanity takes the next step
though you do not take it alone"
"Go now, and you have far yet to travel
but we will meet again: I will wait for you upon the brink"
The charred embers
of hell reappeared
But emerged from the house
Eve sat beside me
This would be the serpent's last strike
The sparks flew like fireflies
throughout the night
We watched together from
the safety of the local parish
Staring into the amber glow
Our first child was born
just nine months later
Almost a year later
He took his first step
and his next...
He would learn to open
doors closed to humans
Eventually he and his brother
Took to the skies
And later
Their sons and daughters
would sit on the brink
And smile...
The Domain of The Angel
A new age is dawning
Where life would be
free from the evils
(Free of the serpents set on poisoning the earth)
The future is bright
A light unextinguishable
