Traveling these desolate lands

In awe by the beauty of it all

This land that so many

Have claimed their own

For the sake of power

Wars fought for the sake of what?

A God that doesn’t seem to give a squat

Not knowing if they should or not

While their friends are left to rot

While a blood red sun

Sets on these lands

Friend and foe lay down

Gun in hand

What do they see when they

They close their eyes?

The peaceful future they want?

Sometimes I think about the tales

The tales that these dunes could tell

About the people who lived before

And the blood that’s been spilt on the sands

Would the tales be about a search

Another search for glory and all of the fame

Or would it be just another tale

A tale of man’s pointless search for glory?
