Flailing through autumn beset by your scorn
A prince decrowned in pursuit of nothing
Evaporation toiling upon my haggard path
As I shake my fist skyward to your ruinous abode
Brains calcified by flames from that distance star
Orange eyes blind in chaotic spark
Roiling in heated dirt I am subject to all warmth
A trial of madness, dementia which burns
Who has cursed this tender ice?
What hatred spurred this battle of frost?
Where was the moon when you broke this oath?
When and how can I overcome the thaw?
Laying down in my shallow grave
Among these stones I meet my fate
Rooted pumpkin and warted gourd
Wrap around my withering ice
Bugs of time languish over my corpse
As I am covered in their husk of woe
The laments of birds fill my ears
As I succumb to the fist of your warmth
Beneath the October moon
My tombstone writ in letters of ice
As darkness covers the garden of fall
I feel the cold seeping through the cracks
The moon has fought, replaced the sun!
As winter I shall champion for my return!
