The ancient dreams all have died

Ivory towers only castles of sand

Blown away by the tragic winds of time...

Fragments of memories looming deep in the mists

The shades and colours are not as before

Did time heal all the scars or can you still see them

Distant reminders of things that once were but shall never live again

Keep the closets clean so the heart can feel warm

What heinous secrets and skeletons are hidden there?

Dark reflections of what you buried in the depths

Lurking in the abyss - watching and waiting!

No chance to run away the voices they will never rest

Gripping vicious claws of torment demons pounding on your chest

Merciless cacophony is always ringing in your head

Don't expect to rest in peace not in your sleep or when you're dead!

Past deeds they dwell in the garden of screaming skulls

Ghastly voices howling from the graves

Calling my name for eternity!

Through years of suffering, what seemed like centuries

Lifetimes have faded don't feel as though they were real

What now remains only ashes and dried old blood

But in the darkest recesses some unknown curse will live on forever and evermore

In the fog of time you thought you lost them for good

But when you lie awake staring at the emptiness

Eyes and faces are penetrating through the walls

To haunt you till the bitter end, eerily whispering: "you'll never be free!"
