Fleeting memories so foul

Spread out on a table

the pain made her howl

Poison coursed through her skin

Victim to the sickness

That tore from within

Discomfort (all in vain)

Disguising (all the pain)

Hid from my eyes, comfort her guise

Disgusting (malady)

Disturbing (elegy)

Thoughts in my head, prose for the dead

My prayers fell on deaf ears

Brought down for all to hear

Hope turned to pounding fear

As her passing grew near

Melodies I write

Help me carry through the night

Misery without resolve

Taken from the light

By this everlasting plight

Hopelessly I watched it all

Carried down to a grave

Let go of the patient they couldn’t save

Gone forever

Say goodbye, keep my hate

Oblivion welcomes her through the gate

Die for nothing

Solemn days filled with pain

These feelings of loss that I can’t contain

Give me some peace

Cancer claims is all

Can’t escape it’s call

Misery had its way with me

This horrible fate I refused to see

Bitterly crawl through the tragedy
