Death and decay rotting evermore

Warriors frozen in stone

This is Medusa’s home

Through it we must go to reach hades below

In formation we tread on

With shields at the ready

To block out the black sun

Her gaze we cannot meet

As certain death awaits

Less we shall stay

Step by step we draw closer to the serpent’s bed

A hall of gold and stone where upon the serpent’s throne

Thousands have met their fate in this place

But we shall not make their mistake

Bold little ones to enter my domain

You’ll soon be dead

Feast my dears make them pay

Serpent’s strike at our shields

Her cold hands break our spears

In blindness we find her head

Slashing cutting, breaking her neck

She howls in pain, screaming agony

Bones break but for the men’s dismay

She locks her gaze consuming their lives

Renewing her strength, we must hold the line

In darkness we focus our senses at high

For that foul creature will die tonight

Readying our swords we hear her drawing close

One shot is all we need to end the torment for all

She screams in agony as we cut her down

Yet slithers away before we take the crown

One day I’ll be back, your sons and daughters will forever be mine
