The Ground Lyrics

The Moon’s grace

Upon her grave

In this vast space

I failed

In the end, I dive, endless

Into the eternal void

My spirit flows

From my body in the soil

Fatal illusions

Tore her from a life by my side

From forgotten times

A wondrous sight

Appears before my solemn weary eyes

In time the wounds will finally heal;

But my imprudence never will

At last this broken man sees again

A sight; the future dream disappears

I’ve seen all his might

And these signs denied

Now he’s gone and cast aside

At least I tried

The Moon’s gaze

Upon my grave

Marks the ending

Of my days
