The Incorruptibles Lyrics

No early Church could be complete without the vaults of the Reliquarium

Hands, feet, limbs, bones and heads, bodies encased in iron and glass

Counterfeit relics from foreskins of Christ to the blood of Januarius

Unshaken faith in Bodily Incorruption, Saints whose corpses forever last

Catholicism forever rampant in idolatry

This superstitious vice will never run its course

Taken to extreme with belief in Incorruptibility

When you ingest the putrefaction of a rotting corpse

Henry VIII set out to break the cultus of corpse worship

But even the best efforts merely drove them underground

Pilgrims converge from all aboard to gaze at this religious fraud

And pray for intercession from a dead body and its shroud

Catholicism forever rampant in idolatry

A practice that lives on forever more

Taken to extreme with belief in Incorruptibility

When you ingest the putrefaction of a rotting corpse

The body of Saint Charbel secreted rancid oils and fluids

Which sept right through the lining of his tomb for many years

Strips of his saturated clothing were given to the infirmed

Adipocere congealed within his coffin, as curative, preserved

The 'Oil of Saint Walburga' is distributed to the sick

Distilled from her decaying bones for the last thousand years

Just like the fountain of Lourdes, laying on of hands, anointing oils

A slight of hand by the aid of man, and carcasses well preserved

De Cadaverum Incorruptione

De Cadaverum Incorruptione

De Cadaverum Incorruptione
