As I walk through the darkest of woods

The overcast skies look upon me with disgust

The weight of this unbearable knowledge

Each step is an eternity of  inescapable pain

I move forward slower than before

The wind so cold my flesh is burning

Looking nether left nor right

The sun is a forgotten shadow of the past

No dream could compare my reality

Dieties look away when I approach

For I look not upon the path of gods

But upon the path of myself

I cannot reason with this feeling

Total abandonment, emptiness, and pain

The clouds release their tears of frozen rain

My thoughts racing faster then my heart

My destination is well within sight

But the closer I get, the  farther it stays

If I could scream, I doubt it would help

The "Father of all humankind"

Satan by name, enemy of  the egomaniacs

Followers of the false Christian religion

Casting stones, trying to sway me from my path

My only protection, my knowledge of the truth

The truth that states "Christianity is false,

All religion is belief in something that is not

This god, he does not exist, you believe in a shadow"

Laughter is all I can reply to the remarks

Of the bible-thumping hypocrites

Looking at a dark reflection in the puddles along the way

I see a shadow of what used to be

I see a reflection of what is now

I see a glimpse of what is to be

I shudder at the thought of my future

Thinking of what will be, without divine intervention

Understanding what life is all about

I do not welcome that which I have

The only thought that comes into my mind

A cold and dismal realization

I welcome death!
