Inhaling knowledge like the air your breathe

Forced to reach enlightenment

Beyond the kind that most of us will never see

Starting with a mind as white as snow

Getting stained by the things dictated to know

Get rich or try dying

As we are expected

Do we really have a voice

Do we really have a choice

No

Read about the outside world

Imagine how these stories unfold

I know too much now

So I must go

Put everything in the hands

Of something I don’t know

Will it lead me to eternity

Or take me to a new low

Do they really hear our voice

Are we ever left a choice

As I whisper and cast a pitying smile

Sitting on the sideline

And watch these humans for a while

Subjected to reality so bleak

Mindless following

Is only for the weak

Unprecedented arrogance

Oblivious to consequence

I have seen how self-destruction

Has caused numerous kingdoms to fall

Spiritual indifference

Try to find deliverance

I will fight the way

In which you made me

Until the light takes me

A journey through this forceful world
