Reason slept and so your mind went absent

Will I ever see through the wall of light?

Stranded before the stretching sea

Gentle, the waves are calling me

Silent, a barren land in sight

Wisdom, so close and yet so distant

Hands, stop shaking now,

and regain your once firm grasp

yet though the sand might slip through you

sometimes you have to filter out what hurts

Heart, keep pounding hard

with the confidence the waves come forth

for the tide won't let us go now,

feel the calling of the old man of the sea

Stranded before the stretching sea

Gentle, the waves are calling me

A towering body of surging water rises ahead

I'm on the edge of the deep blue abyss;
