Of Winter and Treason Lyrics

I, despised by my own kind,

Sent into exile, doomed to walk the ice

Senseless charges are held against me

A shade of misery and shame

A traitor! That’s what they cry

I hear their poisoned voices, do they laugh?

Those so-called patriots with their hollow devotion

Won’t hesitate to rape their own land

“Fear is the key to rule mankind,

Once all glimpse of hope is vanished you’ll find out”

Worn-out by a world of illusions

I led my withered persona into the everlasting vow

It’s hard to find that one is said to be a traitor

Hard to not get mad at the very thought of it

Hard to keep one’s cool when you see as foes those you cared for

Sadly it is the price I have to pay for my convictions

Pride and love for the fatherland

Words in disguise for indulgence and hate

What about personal pride?

Primitive feelings are far easier to command

What do they mean when they boast of loving their country?

What do they want to get from us all?

A brain-dead following mass for their private pretensions?

Well, if I refuse that, then yes, a traitor I am

Liar!!!

Betrayer!!!

Die!!!

How can a loyalty so pure and true be twisted into bigotry?

Where was the mistake? When did we become the end point of zero?
