Inherent Malevolence Lyrics

We will awaken an unrepentant force

The seven gods of chaos

Our enemies will be destroyed and

All impurities erased

Expanding into the unknown, a dark cloud of unrivalled magnitude

Marred by uncountable souls, breathing a light into blackness

Alone in this realm with a blade-crossed meridian

Nothing but pinpricks on a map, no longer home

Of a vaporous trail, ersatz words put fore’

Promises of riches, gold and else-unknown

Leading down a path - more obscure with every turn

The voyage unseen by those who spoke of it

Endless abyss

Engulfing even light

Claustrophobic black

Void that swallows all

Light reflected rapid

From upon metallic boughs

Shaped being more than void-waste

Design is clearly known

Inscriptions scale it’s surface

Incisions the likes unborn

Of this mind’s indulgent elegance

Remote and abeyant

Tendrils lay dormant

Inside their cosmic tomb

These empty halls once teeming

Sent adrift in slumber

Acquiescence installed burning aeons before

The God-Priest slept, dethroned and enraged

The Opener of The Way, Daemon Sultan

The Great Dreamer’s sunken city torn asunder

The alignment of the stars, signalling awakening

Celestial grace shines upon the Stone of Dreaming

Tremors are felt as the shackles of slumber fade

All shall tremble ‘fore the might of the gods!

Inhale

The stench of release

Embrace

Torment

Eternal

Immutable

Agony

Paling

Humbled

The vastness

Overwhelming

Potent

Eruption

Containment

Breached

Cognizance restored

The being aware of my presence

The cataclysmic sepulcher - rended asunder

Hulking remnants screeching into the abyss

A schism torn by this fragmented astral grave

Leaves me adrift amongst the waves of the void

This ungodly embrace

Rending mind from flesh

Distorting corporeality

Dissolving sanity

His tomb - my own

As my consciousness

Is torn from my anima

Severed from my esse

I welcome the caress

Of this mighty demiurge

Who hast given me sight

To show me verity

So I may denounce

Mortal falsehoods

The illusions of man

And loosen the shackles of transience
