Banished from the lavish lands

That I once ruled

Many moons have passed

But I remember

Scarred and marred

Covered in mud

I fell from grace

Weak and weary

My eyes bleary

No more praise

Sentenced to drift for the rest of my days

Beyond the endless forest

Lies a lost sea

Where the forsaken live

Unsung heroes

The velvet fog rises eerily

The eleventh hour is drawing nearer

I will find a place to call my own

In this life or the next

I will be home

What have they done?

All I built now withers swiftly

They bit the hand that feeds, greedily

Elder, young, disdainfully mock me

While I bleed

Night and morn

Denied and scorned

But oh my friend

The tables will turn

This won’t be my downfall
