Dramatis Personae
Romeo, the tranquil king of misery
Juliet, the fair temptress
Prologue
In a crimson landscape far beyond the reach of day
Where joy is exhibited for sorrow to slay
In Romeo's gloomy chamber is where we lay the scene
In mourning worlds of temptation unclean
Act /
Romeo wanders aimlessly into the chilling nothingness
"Oh, cruel season of fading flowers.
I bear the burden of seven roses dead and burned, the incense of stagnation's enslavement.
Had I only the gift of witchcraft to upon me lay, by magic, the aura of seducement."
Her deep blue eyes possessed him with mesmerizing consternation.
For her eyes were indeed the eyes of temptation.
"I beseech thee, benign goddess of red.
In times of sick perplexity, hast thou the ability to upon me lay interpretation's vivid reflection.
For I am completely lost in the tempting depths of her eyes.
I am lost in darkness."
Romeo's poem of grievances, yet to be written, already shaping itself.
Forming insanity, despair and scorn as he walks down the querulous trail to hell.
"
How deep can love ever get to be, reflected in blood, somewhat deeper than the depths of a cold tragedy.
I soliloquize, dream and hope, yet I gain nothing but torment.
Am I crucified to life's sequence of maiming lunacy?"
Act II
There, in the flickering window of nothingness, the fair Juliet appears.
No words spoken, but a silent sigh bid Romeo to meet her eyes.
Act III
No solemn vows can overcome the rapturous break of love.
Every pledged "I love thee", mere words given to vanish in a blissful morrow.
Our Romeo now yield to temptation...
"Her eyes twinkle of great desire,
I succumb to temptation, staring into two of the fairest stars in all the heaven"
Now Romeo stare into Juliet's eyes as he sheds a mournful tear.
For tears are plenteous now, and the burden of absence is far to much for Romeo to bear.
"I ask thee, my fair Juliet, art thy heart drained of mortal wine?"
A forbidden embrace by the midnight fire, Romeo quavers with fear.
"Kiss me then, my fair Juliet, mesmerize me with those lips of thine"
"Mesmerize me..."
"Sweet flower, speak not but take my hand. Fear not, my dear Juliet, fear not the claws of the damned.
We could kill the thorns and die, side by side and to temptation's darkness forever abide..."
