King of Mayapan Lyrics

Sacred CHICHEN ITZA, capital of mighty toltecs.

Very long ago they came here from west

And made this town resembling to TULAN

Wich they was compeling to abandon… to abandon.

Power of toltecs began, and there were men

Condemned be thrown to well.

Kings should hear their prophecy, but it no came!

Sorcerers burn the fires, flutes and pipes are plaing.

Ritual bogan and men one by one

Disappear in waters of well.

Hunak Keel was one of condemned.

He wasn’t king of MAYAPAN here

To bring him the prophecy.

Mysterious forms, alient sounds,

Gods called to him when he fell to waters of well.

He will bring them words of gods.

People thought emerald waters swallowed him up,

But envoy came bacl and proclaimed the order,

Order of the gods, “I should be king of maya.

King of MAYAPAN… MAYAPAN!”

When he made this speech everyone submited to his words

‘cause it’s order of the gods.

Hunak Keel owned MAYAPAN’s throne.

Afterwards there was a war,

Three towns headed bu Hunak Keel

United and rose against the tyranny of toltecs.

Battle continued four days

And sun of CHICHE? ITZA fell down.

There was a new sunrise

And rays lit throne of MAYAPAN!
