Bible belt, the noose of southern hospitality
Hypocrisy swinging in the breeze of ligaments, sinews pecked away, your once stupid grin slapped on that pasty face, now bites its own tongue in solitary decay
The stinking, burping, and caustic wind, singing the scripture
The new, the old, testaments to the existential struggle beyond our own mortality and psychology
Now itself an allegorical malady, pathos, pathetically
Refusing to let go of the very necks which once were risked
Mother nature, father time, child of light, infinity of spiraling black matter
Lurking through bile-laden air, gulping at truth, you fish out of water
My nervous father, ringing the clarion of the child yet to be
Announcing my birth, stealing my life, nailing shut my future self
