Indra's devastating thunderbolt,

Vayu's bow and quiver with infinite arrows

Brandishing Varuna's conch

Agni's burning spear and Yama's sword

Swinging Vishwakarma's hammer

Of the bones of Dadhichi

Emitting Surya's blinding rays

I cut down my enemy's army

I alone stand to face him

He who is lion, elephant, snake, and buffalo

With my trident the death blow is struck

Beyond resuscitation my discus decapitates

I bid farewell for a future time

The need is now, we appeal to you

O' great mother

The one who brings the end in terrifying form

Who is beyond defeat, the unassailable one

She who dwells in the Vindhya Mountains

We woeful beings on war torn land

Greed and lust for power dominates
