Tearing its victims to shreds

Forcibly drowning the flame and the spring

Tyranny shrouded in myth

As they mock the dead

On the blood of whom they've fed

As they mark this life

With their claws like a rusty knife

As they bark into the night

To summon the fright

Blades go up, blades come down

Lights turn up, lights go out

Lighting up the pathways

Lurking in the way

Fading as the victim burns away
