Wake up,

Free myself from within the dream

Feel the claws of death surrounding me

I know this battle can never end

As minds collide inside one whole

And I fall

Between it all

And behind the flames, beneath the ash

Beyond what I have done

A light from heavens up above

Revealing all that is to come

The end of all that came before

This greater will now split in two

Take me away

To begin this final tale

To shatter all that once lay still

If cold lies the ash on my tombstone

As spectres look down on my grave

If dark are the embers that once burned so bright

A now-faded past won’t rekindle their light

Dark lies the soul of a life lived in lies

But guidance of grace brought back sense to my sight

A pillar of flame shining gold in this night

And behind the flames, beneath the ash

Beyond what I have done

A light from heavens up above

Revealing all that is to come

I now know what I’m searching for

It’s written in the stars

And as the leaves begin to fall

My freedom found, I close my eyes
