Manifested in my mind

Black walls I’m trapped behind

Endless caverns, a world inside a dream

A true lucidity

On this endless plane I lie

A labyrinth inside

A world within which I can fly

The darkness of the horrors past

It lingers ever on

Tantalising me with hope

And here I cannot hide

The horrors of my cell revealed to me

Terrors clawing out of memories I fear

Black serpents twisting, encircling

I’m lost beyond the dream

Who am I to slip from the clutches of the void?

Who am I to rid myself of her voice?

How can I ever feel safe again in my own mind

When all I see is her inside?
