Chapter 1 - Many Hopes:

Lights glimmer at the surface

of a dark and muddy stream

every night, when I return

I see this river with a name

they call it as if it was one

but it is many as it flows

they wash away my doubts and fears

many tears run to the ocean

When thoughts are drowning

in the black flows

when waves take away

my dreams and mares

silently they're drifting

with the river at night

some will sink and some will swim

but in the end

Chapter 2 - Memory:

I remember the day we stood

at the banks of a summer lake

and you told me in naivity

"Imagine how all of it ends here"

who would have thought

that you would end there too

since that lovely afternoon

I have never seen water by light

down in your wet temple

you will rest forevermore

around you life goes on

Panta Rhei, though you are gone

Chapter 3 - Spring to Ocean:

Tear by tear and night by night

I form a river by myself

I am the spring

the world is my ocean

not a tiny island

is left in the flood

everywhere I see my face

a reflection in a pond

makes me want to drown in it

to flee from it's sight

Chapter 4 - Panta Rhei:

Panta Rhei, Panta Rhei, Panta Rhei

it flows, it flows, it flows

to one single point

one damn point

it starts with me, it is me

everywhere I am

the rivers am I

the sea is mine

I run from me to myself
