Lacerate my every wish

Condemned to live my life with him

Alcoholic my old man,

Hide beneath a cloud of shame

Facade of feelings thicker now

As I grow older with resent

Drunken man

I do not understand

Why he does

The things he does to us

Apathy

To try to beat the test

Afraid of actions he portrays

My silence pleases him most

Escape to liquid refuges

Artificial pleasures numb my mind

Now he's dead I drown my grief

Booze had said " I love you"

Alone in the gutter is where I am

Denial towers friends beliefs
