Far across the plains
There stood a lonely citadel
That faced a coming change
And within its walls
A fire burned and turmoil churned
As the horns of judgement called
Born of the human mind
The empire lived a thousand years
With no end in sight
Yet without a sign
The riverbed that flowed so strong
Suddenly ran dry
The idols ever benign
The temple walls a sanctuary
Oh so divine
There's nothing to be done
In the kingdom of the sun
Then in the shrouded halls
The palace walls were ever plagued
With the mark of the coming fall
And as the sun did shine
The river's flow was replaced
By the falling sands of time
The idols lose their prime
The temple walls grow weaker still
Aren't they divine?
The end has begun
In the kingdom of the sun
Now beyond the rift
The kingdom of the sun doth fall
To the depths of the abyss
In this silent bliss
Its towering walls once stood alone
Above the swirling mist
Their idols lost to time
The temple walls come crashing down
Once divine
From what they came they have become
To dust it falls, the kingdom of the sun
