The lonesome Seer walks the shore in the moonlight
Tired and old, quietly heaves a sigh
Lusts after light, tragic chaser of fortune
The wanderer starts to sing an alluring tune
The Scientist bathes in light in the steeple
Soft resonance in this lonely cathedral
Those great machines squeak and roar, solid and strong
The alloy heart heeds the call of a distant song
And starts to beat again
Oh Scientist, why you gaze at the night sky?
You seek distant stars through engine eye
But cold heart, why don’t you leave the turret?
My soul is in pain and I know you can cure it!
Sorrowful Seer, bitter singer of dark songs
Why there’s no place where your heart truly belongs?
My telescope knows the spheres and the stars too
And so many times I tried, but I don’t know you!
I never knew you!
Dark days will come - maybe not today, not tomorrow, but soon enough
The struggles and discords confound their speech and the distance is growing between them
‘Till all the songs turn into pain and all the love burns in the fires of trials
Embers to ashes. The end is fated.
The lovers are doomed.
One's chained by the past
The other's running to the future
There's no time, it's not enough
For understanding
Where one's a sightless sufferer
The other's blood is made of alkaline
There's no space to breathe
There's no room to grow
The seer is the song
But deaf is the scientist
Patience, empathy
Is all that they wanted
Be heard and be seen
Treasured and understood
Feel held and feel loved
Is all that they wanted
(Headstrong... it’s all wrong what I do…)
Enchanter... liar…
(I can’t understand you…)
I cannot save you…
There's no space to breathe
In the end!
