Spiralling down towards the end

As black clouds rise above our heads

Coating the sky obscuring light

The end of days is within sight

Darkness entrances us all

As the sky turns black

Society collapses inward

Now there is no turning back

Daggers are held between throats

The seeds of hate have been sewn

Apocalypse it takes hold

Are we the end we foretold

As the sun leaves the sky there shall be eternal night

Human hypocrisy laid out for all to see

The demise of our race autogenicidal waste

First the weak then the strong

Relighting the world with crematorial coals

Pathetic panic of a pitiful planet

Whose agonising end was almost automatic

All that it took was lights demise

for the fiends to escape from behind our eyes

Animalistic instinct consumes us

Families shattered through broken trust

All that remains decrepit, blind scum

thriving off of violence under a dead sun

Devoid of life devoid of light those who have died free from suffering

Civilization lost in an instant arguably nothing of value was lost, lost

As the sun leaves the sky there shall be eternal night

As the sun slowly dies so shall we in its light

In the past, it was so bright

Could we make it through the night?
