Redemption Lyrics

Once I was a member of the angels

I trusted in the will of God

While I was beholding his creation

My loyalty faded away

I couldn't understand why humanity

Has to suffer, to starve and to die

A child has to lose its mother

I said oh Lord can't you hear your beings cry?

But the Lord took me by the hand

And said one day you will understand, that all

Beauty must die, all humans must cry, from the ashes

There grows a new plant

But I couldn't trust in his speeches

Cause anger had blocked my mind

So I went down, from Heaven to Earth

For to visit God's mankind

I taught them the natural laws

Showed them how they can soothe their pain

But I didn't calculate the consequences

Sorry master, I am to blame

They were good students

And they had learned

To count in numbers

And night had returned

Awful winds now rule the Earth

Now pain is stronger

Then it has ever been before

The strangest prophets

Come to preach their fantasies

It's getting dangerous

When too many listen - to

I hope one day I can go back to heaven

When wisdom has reached the Earth

And the Father will forgive me with open arms

And forgive my inquisitive soul

But on Earth there is still no consciousness

For solutions and holistic thinking

They still want to have explanations

So I try to do my best

Cause they did not understand

That sometimes flowers grow in desert sand

That all beauty must die, all humans must cry

In the ashes there is the redemption
