In violent love

Always looking for mercy

But the world is burning

I can smell the Sulphur every which way I turn

On this nauseous-bender I can’t find center

Unstable and disillusioned - my every bone, a fender

Bruised and splintered into my flesh

In my slumber I cheated death

But now I’m awake to feel the collapse

To suffer In life, in love

To suffer in triumph, in joy

In routine, in death
